It’s a typically grey, drizzly day in Vancouver for the start of a second season of filming of our own cop-from-the-corporate-future hit Continuum. With five Canadian Screen Award nominations and a warm critical reception (Can this Syfy show be your new sci-fi obsession?) for its American debut last week, this series has momentum. About a dozen production signs pointed the way to the Plaza of Nations this morning where Continuum shoots its Vancouver Police department scenes. There’s nothing to see so far but it’s good to know they’re back for four or five months of filming. And that we can look forward to watching thirteen new episodes of cop-from-the-corporate-future Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) later this year on Showcase.
