FALL PREVIEW: ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND on Thursday Nights This Fall

City, not CTV, will be simulcasting new filmed-in-Vancouver series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland  on Thursday nights this fall in Canada. After yesterday’s Shaw Upfront, City shared a promotional photo online of Alice (Sophie Lowe) and her lost love Cyrus (Peter Gadiot), a genie.

The poor girl is locked in a Victorian era insane asylym because of her babblings about an “invisible cat, a hookah-smoking caterpillar, and playing cards that talk” in a strange world called Wonderland. Things look bleak until the Knave of Hearts  (Michael Socha) and White Rabbit (voiced by John Lithgow) rescue her and take her back down the rabbit hole to a place where “nothing is impossible:”

Since only five scenes were shot in Vancouver in April for a presentation to ABC executives, production will start with the premiere episode this summer.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland will air Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC in the U.S. and on City in Canada this fall.
