What is it about the Lions Gate Bridge that big American movies like so much that they don’t bother to CGI it out of the background? The latest official  movie clip for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters clearly shows the Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park in the background for scenes of the young demi-gods meeting Rainbow, the half-horse half-fish hippocampus, who gives them a ride to the Princess Andromeda.

In the first film adaption of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books, young Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) discovered that the father he never knew was the Greek god Poseidon. In the second film adaption, Percy, Annabeth Chase (Alexandra Daddario) and Percy’s cyclops half-brother Tyson (Douglas Smith) set out to retrieve the golden fleece in the Sea of Monsters to save their beloved Camp Half-Blood, the summer camp where children of the gods are trained and protected.  Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters opens in theatres this Wednesday, August 7th.
