TCA NEWS: THE TOMORROW PEOPLE is The CW’s Bid for Sci-fi Audience This Fall

  • Showrunners Greg Berlanti (Arrow) and Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries) told the TCA they have been talking about reimagining The Tomorrow People since they watched reruns of the 1970s British cult show in college in the 1980s.
  • Greg Berlanti helped star Robbie Amell (cousin of  Arrow’s Stephen Amell) get his green card.
  • The Tomorrow People is one of the new shows greenlit by The CW pitched at a sci-fi audience.
  • Big Bad Mark Pellegrino plays his character, the head of the Ultra group hunting down these young adults with special powers, as a “hero”.

The Tomorrow People debuts on Wednesday, October 9th, after Arrow on The CW.
