Luiz Lopes, a journalism intern at The Now Newspaper, happened to be in exactly the right place at the right time at the Vancouver Art Gallery today. Big Eyes cast and crew came outside after three days of filming the Margaret versus Walter Keane courtroom battle over who actually painted those big-eyed children. Director Tim Burton, Amy Adams (Margaret Keane), Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz (Walter Keane), other cast and crew posed for a wrap photo sitting on the steps of the north plaza. Afterwards, Lopes got his own photo with a generous Burton, who said he was feeling under the weather.
Unlike a friend of mine Julie who arrived two minutes too late to see the group photo, but spied Adams leaving and Tim Burton signing an autograph for an excited tourist.
