YOUR SHOOT: FALLING SKIES Mech in Inner Courtyard of Chinese Cultural Centre

Vancouver seldom sees much of Falling Skies filming but this season 2nd Mass, the small band of resistance fighters who have rebelled against an occupying alien force for three seasons now, have a semi-permanent set in Chinatown. Production plans to use the inner courtyard of the Chinese Cultural Centre regularly until shooting of season four’s twelve episodes wraps in February. What is the inner courtyard supposed to be? It’s part of a Dragon Center Mall. Falling Skies films the mall interiors at the nearby International Village and some members of 2nd Mass have been spotted in the area. So keep a lookout for Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and his three sons, the eldest Hal (heartthrob Drew Roy), once-harnassed middle son Ben (Connor Jessup spotted at set last time) and youngest son Matt (Maxim Knight) this Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 – 16th, when Falling Skies returns to the Chinese Cultural Centre set. Will there be a giant Mech in the courtyard again? There may be but the public had no vantage of set last time except from inside the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, which will be closed this time.
