IN THEATRES: Brent Butt’s NO CLUE in Limited Release This Weekend

No Clue

She’s the Damsel. He’s in Distress.

Brent Butt’s new movie No Clue is a comedic homage to film noir with Butt as a bumbler who pretends to be a hard-boiled detective so that Amy Smart’s blonde bombshell will spend time with him. No Clue took about three years to get into production in Vancouver and filmed here in the fall of 2012.  So it’s big. It’s local. And it will be funny. Brent Butt (Corner Gas/Hiccups) wrote the script, his production company Sparrow Media produced it and Vancouver’s own Carl Bessai (Sisters & Brothers/Fathers & Sons) directed it in some recognizable locations from Stanley Park to Finch’s Café downtown.

    1. Saw you in the back of the No Clue selfie. Wish I’d gone last night when Brent Butt and Carl Bessai there. Expected screening to be too full for last-minute walk-in.
