NEW SERIES: The CW Orders The FLASH with Grant Gustin To Series

the flash is coming

For TV pilots, the DC adaption The Flash was a sure thing from the get-go and so it’s not a huge surprise that The CW ordered it to series today. The story: Central City assistant police forensics investigator Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) becomes super fast, aka the Flash, after a freak explosion at S.T.A.R. labs. Central City Detective West (Jesse L. Martin) is a surrogate father to Allen and Iris West (Candice Patton) is his best friend and potential girlfriend. The Flash filmed on Expo Boulevard for two weekends (blowing up cars one Sunday) and in several downtown locations. Showrunners: Greg Berlanti (Arrow), Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns, David Nutter (who directed the pilot) and Melissa Kellner Berman.
