It makes me happy to know that @ShiriAppleby and @KrisPolaha are ‘couvin’ it up together… pic.twitter.com/RPyhBfoaCe

Shiri Appleby is back in Vancouver to film Marti Noxon’s Lifetime series Un-Real which takes a darkly comic look behind the scenes of a fictional dating competition reality series. Appleby is the young staffer Rachel whose job it is to provoke the most scandalous and titilating footage to get ratings by manipulating the contestants to the satisfaction of the showrunner Julia, played by Constance Zimmer, and the sexy, arrogant creator, played by Craig Bierko. Inspired by short film Sequin Raze, the 10-episode series is expected to premiere later this year.
Appleby already spent a few years in Vancouver on Liz Tigelaar’s CW series Life Unexpected which starred Britt Robertson, who’s since graduated from TV series to big budget movies like Tomorrowland. And it seems from the tweets that everyone involved in Life Unexpected stayed at The Sutton Hotel like so many visiting casts do.
Filming of Un-Real the series is expected to start on Tuesday, August 5th.
