SHOOT: SUPERNATURAL’s Jensen Ackles & Mark Sheppard Party Like Demons in Ladner’s Sundance Pub

Are Supernatural’s Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and King of Hell Crowley (Mark Sheppard) partying like demons in Ladner’s Sundance Pub for the season ten premiere? It looks like that’s what’s going on behind the scrim on the far right. Fans spotted the pair coming and going yesterday from what is now called The Black Spur Pub. Update: Filming continued Thursday with Demon Dean (Jensen Ackles) fake-punching stunt performer Paul Lazenby in the face for a photo but the tweet has since been deleted. That was the day Demon Dean beat up a guy and killed another one (which was Lazenby?), it was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on Sunday.

[And Demon Dean likes to sing Karaoke, Jensen Ackles shared at Comic-Con, so the season ten premiere will be a little musical.]

Surrey’s real-life Brownsville Pub and RV Park played the backdrop for the odd-couple pairing of Dean and Crowley in the season nine finale. And now that Dean’s a demon he’s reportedly on an evil bender with his buddy Crowley and too much for even the King of Hell to handle.

Good thing Mark Sheppard has a getaway car. He parked his Porsche next to Supernatural’s Green Machine catering in Ladner.

The Porsche is a reminder how well off the cast and producers are of this almost decade-long horror franchise but smart to stay down-to-earth on screen and not to suddenly shift away from their motels, diners and mid-western roots. The only upgrade on screen? The Men of Letters bunker, but Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) Winchester are still work-shirts-jeans-and-boots guys at heart even if Dean is a demon.

What about the two Js? Well, they’re superstars in suit jackets and jeans taking the Television Critics Association summer press tour by storm with showrunner Jeremy Carver last Friday.

Deservedly so. Supernatural is that rare show still going strong in its tenth season with no end in sight.

No wonder the Supernatural panel fills Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. Get in line now if you want to see the Js, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard and showrunner Jeremy Carver this Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

Supernatural season ten premieres Tuesday, October 7th, on The CW in the U.S. and CHEK locally.
