iZombie ended up not screening its full pilot at Warner Brothers TV’s Preview Night because it’s not complete. Some re-casting has been done since showrunner Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars) shot the pilot in Vancouver and three days of re-shoots will be scheduled. Instead, fans saw a 15-minute preview of iZombie, showing 25-year-old medical resident Olivia “Liv” Moore (Once Upon a Time’s Rose McIver) turned into zombie and struggle to find a way to feed on BRAAAINS without killing people. She breaks her engagement to Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley) and takes a job at the Seattle Coroner’s office where she eats the BRAAAINS of murder victims, gains their memories and assists medical examiner Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) and homicide detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) to solve their deaths.

At the iZombie panel on Thursday, July 24th, showrunners Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright said their comic zombie-procedural will have an overarching storyline about Liv being key to the prevention of a zombie apocalypse, no doubt involving evil zombie Blaine (David Anders).
Producers said Rose McIver was the last actress of about 100 to audition for the role and the one they chose.
iZombie is back filming n Vancouver on August 25th. Wonder if the cast will lurch down Robson Street in our annual ZombieWalk on September 6th.
