COMIC-CON: THE FLASH at DC Super Hero Night Hosted by ARROW’s Stephen Amell

DC Super Hero Night at San Diego Comic-Con proved to be the biggest gathering of panelists — 33 people — in the biggest venue — Hall H — ever. Arrow star Stephen Amell introduced Gotham lead Ben McKenzie, The Flash lead Grant Gustin and Constantine lead Matt Ryan ahead of the world premiere of Gotham’s pilot, a second Comic-Con screening of The Flash pilot and a second preview of Arrow’s third season, but with added footage revealing the season’s Big Bad, Ra’s al Ghul.

After the screenings, DC Comics’ Geoff Johns moderated the record 33 panelists from the four shows, which included The Flash showrunner Andrew Kreisberg and cast Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Jesse L. Martin (Detective West), Candace Patton (Iris West), Tom Cavanagh (S.T.A.R. Labs scientist Harrison Wells) and Danielle Panabaker (bioengineering expert Caitlin Show). Gustin expressed affection for his character: “He’s a dork, and he’s brilliant, and there’s a lot of depth to him. He’s easy to relate to because he’s so genuine.”

The Flash’s fourth episode, which starts filming in Vancouver this week, introduces Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) as Leonard Snart, aka villain Captain Cold, leader of the Rogues.

And its eighth episode, called Flash vs. Arrow, is a crossover of the two Vancouver-shot shows.

In the Arrow Q&A a fan asked Stephen Amell about his abs and he lifted his shirt to show his eight-pack. The abs photos eclipsed all other coverage of the three-hour event.
