200 episodes is a rare milestone in television. It equals about 1,600 days and 20,000 hours of filming. Supernatural celebrated with a gala party for creators, cast and crew tonight at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in downtown Vancouver. Fans marked the occasion months earlier with a flyover at the start of filming of the 200th episode on August 25th, after raising more than $2,000 on crowdfunding site Kickstarter.

Supernatural shot much of the 200th episode at Terry Fox Secondary School in Port Coquitlam. The first clue? Dozens of new production signs — JMATWB — in honor of co-executive producer Jim Michaels sprouted in the area. Best guess to what JMATWB means = Jim Michaels at Wreck Beach. On the last shooting day of the episode, Sam and Dean (Padalecki and Ackles) were back in the Impala, where they’ve been riding the road together since the series première. The Impala took centre stage on the 200th episode invitations, at the red carpet and as the cake.
