Tonight is the night Vancouver gets to see The Flash premiere which filmed here this past spring. A palooza of familiar locations, stunts, explosions and impossible VFX speed. Here’s the big Expo Boulevard showdown between geek charming Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the season premiere villain. Allen is a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who becomes super fast, aka the Flash, after a freak explosion at S.T.A.R. labs. Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order) is Central City Detective Joe West, a surrogate father to Allen. Candice Patton is Allen’s best friend and potential girlfriend Iris West. Rick Cosnett is Central City Detective Eddie “Pretty Boy” Thawne and Danielle Panabaker, bioengineering expert Caitlin Snow. Carlos Valdes is engineering genius Cisco “I make the toys” Roman. And Tom Cavanagh is the mysterious S.T.A.R. labs founder Harrison Wells. Plus John Wesley Shipp, who played the Flash in an earlier incarnation, recurs as Allen’s wrongly incarcerated father.
