Self-Destructive. Judgemental. Indulgent. And The Way He Solves Crimes Is Almost Criminal. Mid-season FOX series Backstrom closed the north square of the Vancouver Art Gallery today to film Detective Lieutenant Everett Backstrom (The Office’s Rainn Wilson), the head of Portland Serious Crimes Unit, meeting his ex-fiancéee Amy Gazanian (Scrubs’ Sarah Chalke) outside what likely will be a Portland courthouse. A former social worker and journalist, Amy is now Chair of the Civilian Oversight Committee and tasked with dealing with her ex’s unorthodox and legally dubious methods.
Hart Hanson (Bones, Traders) developed this “crime-dy” from the Swedish book series by Leif G. W. Persson.
