Six months after it was shot in downtown Vancouver, Jeep Cherokee’s River in the City commercial finally debuted last weekend. It’s wonderful. Two unsuspecting drivers take a test drive with a twist when an unexpected detour on West Hastings takes them through a flowing river in winter — with wolves — on the 400 block of Granville Street.

This Jeep Cherokee commercial give’s the impression that it is cool to run a motor vehicle through a river or creek potentially spoiling habitat for fish and other wildlife. To me and those who care about our environment this commercial is irresponsible.
