Friday night in Vancouver. Flarrow (The Flash + Arrow) must be filming somewhere spectacular. This week it was The Flash’s turn to turn a local landmark into a DC Comics city, staging a Central City Mayoral fundraiser overnight at the new $100-million Surrey City Hall, with stretch limousines and Central City squad cars parked outside. Who’s inside? Iris West (Candace Patton) was spotted going in by fans, but there has to be more of our favourite Central City citizens among the begowned and bejeweled. [And there was: villain James Jesse aka The Trickster (Star Wars’ Mark Hamill) was spotted leaving around 5 a.m.].

From inside the atrium via Surrey Leader. Opened almost a year ago, the stunning Surrey City Hall features black marble walls in an atrium six storeys high with a sculpture of a flock of birds hanging from the ceiling, designed by Kasian & Moriyana and Teshima Architects.
