Three weeks. That’s how long we have to wait for the Spring premiere of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, March 1st. And several weeks after that we’ll get to see Robin Hood galloping on a white horse through the streets of New York City. These are my favourite kinds of Once Upon a Time scenes — fairy tale characters as “fish out of water” in the modern world.

In scenes shot late last month on the 1000 block of West Hastings Street in downtown Vancouver, Robin Hood (stunt double) “borrows” a horse from a tourist carriage ride and goes galloping off through Manhattan traffic with prop yellow NYC cabs.

Once Upon a Time filmed more of Robin Hood on a horse the next morning at Victory Square dressed as the same New York City neighbourhood.
