Update: ABC picked up The Family to series and moved production from Vancouver to New York City.
ABC pilot The Family (formerly Original Sin) is filming the fractured Warren family on the north steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery today as Claire Warren (Joan Allen) announces her candidacy for Governor of the State of Maine. From showrunner Jenna Bans, the new pilot is about the return of a politician’s son Adam Warren (Liam James), presumed murdered for over a decade, who resurfaces alive. Rupert Graves (Sherlock’s Inspector Lestrade) on the far right is Claire’s husband, who wrote a series of books about grief after their son disappeared. Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights) on the far left is Adam’s self-destructive older brother Danny. Alison Pill is sister Willa Warren in the centre, who blamed herself for the loss of her little brother.
If the Warren family doesn’t look particularly happy, it’s because they aren’t.
