Update: ABC picked up The Family to series and moved production from Vancouver to New York City.
ABC pilot The Family (formerly Original Sin) filmed a Meet Your Candidates For City Council fair in New Westminster’s Queens Park dressed as Red Pines, Maine, with Sherlock’s Inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves) as candidate Claire Warren (Joan Allen)’s husband. From showrunner Jenna Bans, the new pilot is about the loss of their son Adam Warren, presumed murdered for over a decade, who resurfaces alive and shakes up his community. Rupert Graves plays Peter Warren, who writes a book series about grief after their son disappears. Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights) plays Adam’s self-destructive older brother Danny. The Scene: in a flashback to 2005 outside the Claire Warren for City Council tent, Claire (Joan Allen) meets and hugs her husband (Rupert Graves).

The Untitled Jenna Bans Pilot really was untitled before production started, with a generic ABC pilot printed on the set chairs. It now has a working title of Original Sin, but that could change.
