TONIGHT: THE FLASH Returns & iZOMBIE Premieres — He’s Fast. She’s Dead.

Kicking Ass And Taking Brains.

Former medical resident-turned-zombie Olivia “Liv” Moore (Once Upon a Time’s Rose McIver) struggles to find a way to feed without killing people. The now white-haired, white-faced zombie breaks her engagement to Major Lilywhite  (Robert Buckley) and takes a job at the Seattle Coroner’s office where she eats the BRAAAINS of murder victims, gains their memories and some of their traits. Posing as psychic she assists medical examiner Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) and Seattle homicide detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) to solve their deaths.

What makes this unique? It’s a zombie procedural with Liv (Rose McIver) learning new skills each episode from the victims like cartwheels, new languages, martial arts.

Rose McIver told TVLine that it takes an hour and forty minutes in the makeup chair to give her the iZombie look.

Some snappy dialogue from iZombie writers.

Would you expect anything less from Veronica Mars show runner Rob Thomas? Photographed on set in Vancouver for the pilot.

  1. It bored me already. I’d rather watch a more interesting, complex plot play out over a season than another case-of-the-week show. Because you already know how it’s going to play out. Zombie girl eats brains, maybe has a zombie hiccup complicating her life, solves case, end of episode, rinse and repeat the next week. I don’t need to tune in every week to figure out that’s how it’ll go, so I don’t really need to waste my time with this one.

  2. iZombie is now one of my favorite TV series, along with Supernatural and Hawaii 5-0. I am looking forward to iZombie’s second season. Braaaaains!
