Will there be zombie herds on the streets of Vancouver this month? Not right away. Fear The Walking Dead — expected to film here from May 10th to June 19th — starts off as a prequel. But over time the companion series will catch up to the full zombie apocalypse of The Walking Dead, creator Robert Kirkman told an SxSW (South by Southwest) crowd in March.

Set in Los Angeles, Fear The Walking Dead reveals what happens in another corner of America, as the zombie outbreak begins.
