SET: ONCE UPON A TIME’s New Dark Swan House in Burnaby Heights

Kept @CoyneTowers’ wonderful photo but removed the tweet because it had the street address for the Dark Swan house. There’s a family with small children living there who didn’t expect to have their privacy invaded by Once Upon a Time fans. I should have been more careful about sharing the location.

The new Dark One needs her own place. Once Upon a Time shot scenes of Emma as Dark Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) at this Burnaby house in metro Vancouver today, according to @CoyneTowers.  I arrived after the film crew had wrapped but they kindly left her yellow VW bug parked outside while the house was restored to the owner’s decor. Love the white picket fence.

News of Emma’s new living arrangements came as a surprise to the fandom.

  1. Is there any place to find out when/where they will be shooting next. Hoping to make a trip over to vancouver with some young fans and would love to take them to see a bit of the filming one time

  2. This was our house from 1953 until 2008 when my mother passed away. It is on the Burnaby Heritage register. Originally built in 1909 for Angus MacDonald – MacDonald Ave’s namesake.
