Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles directs Jared Padalecki, Ruth Connell and himself/stunt double this afternoon in a downtown Vancouver alley for the third episode of season 11. The scene: Sam Winchester dressed in a plaid shirt and Dean Winchester in a Hawaiian shirt, sunglasses and a panama hat — like something out of Weekend at Bernie’s — find and abduct Rowena disguised as a blonde (Ruth Connell).. This is not what I expected after the season 10 cliffhanger. Where’s the Impala? Where’s the Darkness that was engulfing the world?

Production has since moved up the street to shoot inside the St. Regis Bar & Grill on Dunsmuir Street and then after dark in the nearby T alley between Seymour and Granville Streets.
Supernatural began filming season 11 (yes season 11) yesterday in studio.

Don’t forget Jensen’s episode is actually going to be the 3rd episode shown in the season, it’s just filming first. They’ll get a lot of the initial “oh my god THE DARKNESS!!!” stuff out of the way in the first couple episodes.
Not sure it is third episode that Jensen Ackles is directing this season. Usually does but some people say it^s the premiere.
