What if the Devil decided to quit …. and moved to the City of Angels.
The Devil looks a little beat up. Lucifer, the Lord of Hell, decamped from boring, old Hell to a more exciting life in Los Angeles as the owner of upscale night club Lux. Until someone is gunned down in front of him and he starts helping the Los Angeles Police Department to catch sinners. Lucifer filmed its pilot in L.A. with 6′ 3″ Welshman Tom Ellis as the charming Devil who goes by the moniker Lucifer Morningstar and Lauren German as L.A.P.D. homicide detective Chloe Dancer. Lucifer started shooting its series today in Vancouver as Los Angeles at Oceanic Plaza turned into a restaurant.

Lucifer retains some of his power, like the ability to know a person’s sins and compel them to be truthful about them.

After Oceanic Plaza, production moved up to Granville Street’s nightclub district with one of the clubs in the 900 block playing Lucifer’s L.A. club Lux. Caprice? The Roxy?
Neil Gaiman created the character which was spun off into a DC comic series. Tom Kapinos (Californication), Jerry Bruckheimer, Idy Modrovich and Len Wiseman are the producers.

Other cast: Lesley-Ann Brandt co-stars as Lucifer devotee Maze. Kevin Alenjandro is an L.A.P.D. detective suspicious of Lucifer.
Lucifer started filming today and is expected to wrap January 26th (dates subject to change) via the DGC-BC Production List. And premiere mid-season on FOX.
My family and I watched the first episode and thought it was worth a 9.
I Love the show. Tom Ellis is a terrific Lucifer. However I find his supporting fellow actors, not cast for the right part. Lauren German as L.A.P.D. homicide detective Chloe Dancer, is not believable as a detective. Her fellow L.A.P.D. ex-boyfriend is not that great of actor and it makes it unbelievable.
The other angels in the show are very convincing and very good acting, I like them also. Sorry don’t mean to sound like such a critic, but I am really into the show. Love It.
