Is The X-Files revival in its final week of filming? It appears so. But the six-episode coda to nine broadcast seasons is going out in style with several downtown Vancouver shoots this week, including [one overnight on 1000 block of West Hastings on this Tuesday-Wednesday] and one overnight on a closed Georgia Viaduct this Wednesday-Thursday. Today Gillian Anderson, Annabeth Gish and creator/episode director Chris Carter braved a rainstorm at Robson Square. The scene: Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) meets up with Agent Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish), they hug hello and talk on a park bench under umbrellas in the rain.

Better shots of @GillianA leaving the set today. Poor thing looked so cold. #xfilesfilming #xfilesrevival @yvrshoots pic.twitter.com/cdKIccsG2h

And in something straight out of The X-Files canon, filming today was complicated not only by a rainstorm but by a suspected real-life gas leak at the Vancouver Art Gallery next door, with yellow tape encircling the area and a 45-minute evacuation before it was determined to be a false alarm.
