SHOOT: MINORITY REPORT Films Pre-Cog Dash (Stark Sands) in North Vancouver's Victoria Park

Stopping crime before it happens. His vision is our future. New Fall series Minority Report takes place a decade after the events of the Steven Spielberg blockbuster movie Minority Report starring Tom Cruise. The FOX series tells the story of one of the three Pre-cogs Dash (Stark Sands) from the abandoned Pre-crime police unit, who is still haunted by his visions of future crime. He teams up with detective Lara Vega (Meagan Good), who is haunted by her past, to continue the work. Supporting cast includes Laura Regan as Dash’s missing twin Agatha, Nick Zano as pre-cog Arthur, Wilmer Valderrama as Blake, Daniel London, Li Jun Li and Zhane Hall.

Minority Report shot its pilot in Toronto and then moved production to Vancouver to shoot the series, starting in Charleston Park on False Creek on July 21st. It has filmed all over metro Vancouver since in futuristic locations like downtown nightclub Aura, the University of British Columbia’s Life Sciences Institute and Surrey City Hall. I caught up with it last Friday filming in North Vancouver’s Victoria Park. The scene: pre-cog Dash uses his abilities to make chess moves at a park until he’s felled by a vision of future crime.
