Update: Wayward Pines is building a new town on the “Watchmen” set in south Burnaby.
FOX’s international summer hit Wayward Pines will film a second season in metro Vancouver, likely without Matt Dillon whose character Ethan died in the season finale and without showrunner Chad Hodge or the Agassiz set (torn down before what was supposed to a limited series became a huge hit).
But Wayward Pines is being re-built on the Canadian Motion Pictures Park (CMPP) Studios back lot in south Burnaby (known as the Watchmen set).
And M. Night Shyamalan is still overseeing production and author Blake Crouch is still involved.
But what will the mystery be?
Wayward Pines season 2 is expected to start filming March 1st and wrap June 24th (dates subject to change) according to the Directors Guild of Canada – BC production list.
