Tonight Lucifer helps investigate the death of a Hollywood movie star’s son, killed while being chased by paparazzi.

Production shot paparazzi scenes on Vancouver’s Granville Street on the first day of shooting the series here last summer.

A celebrity arrives.

And here’s the decamped King of Hell (Tom Ellis) compelling an L.A. paparazzo to confess his sins at Oceanic Plaza, filmed earlier in the day.

Lucifer got off to a good start  last week in its post-The X-Files time slot,  with 7.15 million viewers and a 3.2 in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic.

And Lucifer’s one-liners got plenty of social media buzz last week, helping it to a #9 ranking in digital audience, according to Variety.

Lucifer filmed in Vancouver from mid-August to the end of January this year, hosting a wrap party for cast and crew on Saturday night in Gastown.

Lesley-Ann Brandt co-stars as Lucifer devotee Maze. Kevin Alenjandro is Chloe Decker’s ex-husband and an L.A.P.D. detective suspicious of Lucifer. 

Neil Gaiman created the character which was spun off into a DC comic series. Tom Kapinos (Californication), Jerry Bruckheimer, Idy Modrovich and Len Wiseman are the producers.

Lucifer airs after The X-Files on FOX in the U.S. and CTV in Canada.
