Paul McCartney in Vancouver? Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales reshoots have quietly added Paul McCartney to the cast for a new set piece, according to Deadline.com. That makes two iconic 1960s rockers in the franchise — Paul McCartney of The Beatles as an undisclosed character and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones as Captain Teague, Jack Sparrow’s father.
In Pirates of the Caribbean 5, Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) searches for Poseidon’s trident while pursued by evil Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem).
Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites), Joshamee Gibbs (Kevin McNally), Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) and Carina Smyth (Maze Runner’s Kaya Scodelario) round out the characters. Production spent much of last year filming principal photography on Australia’s Gold Coast.
