Apart from the occasional putrid corpse has there ever been a TV series that showcased Vancouver’s beauty more than Motive? Known for its bold cinematic style, the CTV crime drama is unusual for two reasons: Vancouver plays itself not somewhere else and Motive is a whydunit not a whodunit. At the top of each episode, we learn who the Killer and the Victim are and then follow along with the detectives Angie Flynn (Kristin Lehman), Oscar Vega (Louis Ferreira), Brian Lucas (Brendan Penny) and coroner Dr. Betty Rogers (Lauren Holly) as they solve the murder and uncover the reasons behind it. The fourth and final season premieres this Tuesday, March 22nd, on CTV.
