Do you love film noir as much as I do? The Rain City 72 Film Noir Gala Screening and Awards Show is this Sunday at the Rio Theatre in Vancouver. We’ll see Vancouver versions of cynical private detectives and femme fatales from this year’s 72-hour filming challenge.
Last Friday through Monday (April 8-11th), teams wrote, filmed and edited film noir shorts in 3 categories: Classic Noir, Neo Noir and Futuristic Noir.
On Sunday afternoon we’ll see the results of their labours, screening at 3:30 p.m. at the Rio, with judging to begin shortly after.
Before that, Rain City Film Noir will air classic Vancouver film noir shorts like Under the Bridge of Fear, beginning at 1:45 p.m.
