Hulu comedy pilot Crushed starts filming today in metro Vancouver, after leaving North Carolina because it didn’t get tax credits and because of the state’s anti-LGBT laws. What is Crushed about? Harvard dropout and chemist Will (Bashir Salahuddin) squats on his family’s abandoned Napa land until his sister Celia (Regina Hall) talks him into using his knowledge of chemistry to go legit in the wine-making business.
Bashir Salahuddin is best known for his work as a staff writer/performer on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
Crushed is expected to film in metro Vancouver from today to May 26th (date subject to change), according to the DGC-BC Production List.
