Louis Drax tumbled off a cliff. It happened on his ninth birthday at a picnic with his parents (Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad and Sarah Gadon), filmed in “the picnic area west of the small beach” in West Vancouver’s Whitecliff Park. The 9th Life of Louis Drax began shooting the Miramax film in the Fall of 2014 at the Vancouver Aquarium.

Based on the best-selling novel by Liz Jensen, Louis Drax (Aiden Longworth) is a boy like no other. Every year he almost dies but miraculously survives. On his ninth birthday, he falls off this cliff and lives, albeit in a deep coma at Dr. Allan Pascal (Fifty Shades’ Jamie Dornan)’s coma clinic. His father is accused of the crime and will disappear. His mother is traumatized. Something isn’t right. Dr. Pascal tries to tap into Louis’s unconscious mind.
Alexandre Aja (Horns) directs this “psychological journey through the deep recesses of the human mind”.
The 9th Life of Louis Drax opens in theatres September 2nd in limited release,
