Fifty Shades Freed filmed Christian and Ana Grey (Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson) honeymoon scenes this week on the French Riviera, one of the few productions brave enough to film in France after the Paris attacks last November. Unfortunately, the Riviera locations are just 40 minutes out of Nice, where a terrorist drove a truck through a crowd of men, women and children celebrating Bastille Day on the Promenade Thursday night, killing 84 and injuring over 300.
Producer Dana Brunetti reassured fans that cast and crew are safe, posting on Twitter and facebook.
As far as I know everyone from our cast and crew is safe. Thanks for everyone’s concern.

And production went ahead as scheduled with a sequence of Christian and Ana touring Roquebrune-Cap-Martin’s medieval castle on Friday.
Earlier shoots had the honeymooning couple on a jet ski and at a beachside pool with Ana in a yellow bikini.
Before France, the Fifty Shades sequels spent four-and-a-half months filming in Vancouver.
