Jon Bernthal (Daredevil’s Punisher/The Walking Dead’s Shane) is cast as the motel proprietor with a dark past in Canadian director Jamie M. Dagg’s upcoming thriller Sweet Virginia, according to Deadline Hollywood. The Black List script is expected to start production this Saturday in metro Vancouver.

Sam unknowingly befriends a young hitman (Christopher Abbott) who’s staying at the Sweet Virginia motel and is drawn into a vortex of violence when the hitman kills the husband of the married woman Sam is having an affair with. Imogen Poots, Rosemarie Dewitt, Odessa Young co-star.
