Update: David Leitch (John Wick) has signed on to direct Deadpool 2.
Looks like Deadpool 2 (working title Love Machine) won’t be filming in Vancouver until next Spring/Summer. The surprise blockbuster’s sequel was expected to start filming early next year until director Tim Miller left after what the Hollywood Reporter calls “creative differences” between the VFX whiz and star Ryan Reynolds.

Miller played a large part in making the small-budget Deadpool a $786-million blockbuster, along with writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
But there’s no doubt Ryan Reynolds is the main reason for the Marvel movie’s success as The Merc With a Mouth on screen and off. GQ magazine named him Man of the Year for 2016.
Deadpool is looking for another director with John Wick director David Leitch considered a frontrunner.
And casting is underway for the character of Neena Thurman aka Domino with Ruby Rose, Mackenzie Davis, Lizzy Caplan, Kelly Rorbach, Eve Hewson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, Stephanie Sigman, Sylvia Hoeks and Sofia Boutella in the mix.
Deadpool 2 (working title Love Machine) is expected to start production in June next year (subject to change), according to Production Weekly.
