START: DEADPOOL 2 (Working Title Love Machine) With Ryan Reynolds Expected to Start Filming May 1st in Vancouver

Looks like Deadpool 2 (working title Love Machine) will start filming in metro Vancouver on May 1st, according to the latest Production Weekly.

That’s a little earlier than expected after the surprise departure of director Tim Miller after what the Hollywood Reporter calls “creative differences” between the VFX whiz and star Ryan Reynolds. Luckily John Wick director David Leitch has signed on to direct the sequel.

Miller played a large part in making the small-budget Deadpool a $786-million blockbuster, along with writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

But there’s no doubt Ryan Reynolds is the main reason for the Marvel movie’s success as The Merc With a Mouth on screen and off.
His family gathered in mid-December last year in a rare public appearance to see him honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

This Sunday, Deadpool is nominated for Best Comedy/Musical and Ryan Reynolds for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical at the Golden Globes.

And Deadpool’s nominated for a Writers Guild Award too.
