Casey Affleck is pulling triple duty. The bearded Oscar winner wrote the script, directs and co-stars in the film Light of My Life about a father and his young daughter (Anna Priowsky) hunted in a post-pandemic world.

Light of My Life has been filming in British Columbia for six weeks. From a farm outside Osoyoos to back alleys and railroad tracks in Vancouver to a heritage farmhouse Elkington House in Maple Bay on Vancouver Island to today’s shoot in an alley in downtown New Westminster.
Production has been low-key. It’s a small budget film but there has also been an effort to keep Casey Affleck under wraps. His Oscar win — while well-deserved for his performance in Manchester By The Sea — was controversial after sexual harrassment and misconduct claims from 2010 resurfaced during the long awards season.
