What if the Devil decided to quit …. and moved to the City of Angels.
Lucifer — with Tom Ellis as the charming Devil — is leaving Vancouver and moving production to the City of Angels full-time in season 3, reports Deadline Hollywood. Why? Likely because the California Film Commission is about to approve it for tax credits as the next high-profile American TV series to come home. After all, Lucifer is about the Lord of Hell decamping from boring, old Hell to a more exciting life in Los Angeles not Vancouver. As well as owning nightclub LUX, Lucifer keeps busy catching sinners with L.A.P.D. homicide detective Chloe Dancer (Lauren German).

Lucifer filmed its pilot in Los Angeles and then moved north to film its first and second seasons in Vancouver.

Other characters: Lesley-Ann Brandt as Lucifer devotee Maze; D.B. Woodside as Lucifer’s brother Amendiel; Kevin Alejandro as L.A.P.D. detective and Chloe’s ex; and scene stealer Rachael Harris as his therapist.
In season 2, Lucifer’s Mom Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) escaped Hell, found a hot new body as her vessel and plagued her son and his brother Amenadiel (DB Woodside) . “We were on a search for someone who could make her sons as uncomfortable as possible. I think we succeeded here,” one of the producers told the TCA summer press tour.

Lucifer wraps its second season of filming in Vancouver around April 6th.
And season 3 will starts filming on June 20th in Los Angeles, wrapping in early April 2018.
