SEASONS 2 & 3: Lemony Snicket’s A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS With Neil Patrick Harris To Film for Year in Vancouver

Netflix has renewed its “unhappy and unnerving” series Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events for a third season before the second season even starts production in Vancouver. This explains the year-long filming dates of April 17th this year to April 20th next year. No wonder star Neil Patrick Harris was looking for a “sweet penthouse” in Vancouver’s Yaletown.

For the next year, Netflix will continue telling the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) the series stars Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf. Neil Patrick Harris.

Patrick Warburton is Lemony Snicket who relates the tale of how the siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight-episode first season was executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and author Daniel Handler. It filmed in Vancouver last Spring and summer, starting in early April and wrapping in August.
