Lucifer teased its Spring block of episodes yesterday with a first look at Dad (Timothy Omundson), father of Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Amenadiel (DB Woodside). In the screencap he’s walking towards Mom (Tricia Helfer).

When we last saw the Devil (Tom Ellis) in the January mid-season finale, he’d left Los Angeles for parts unknown. The Spring premiere picks up a month later. Lucifer is back from Las Vegas with a stripper in tow. Who is she? Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) isn’t exactly welcoming after his long absence. How will Lucifer get invited back onto the Los Angeles Police Deaprtment team?

Tom Ellis was not at WonderCon. He’s wrapping up the second season of filming in Vancouver before production moves to Los Angeles full time.

Showrunner Joe Henderson gave Vancouver crew a shoutout.

“First of all a huge thanks to the Vancouver crew who were amazing. They had the incredibly difficult challenge of making Vancouver look like Los Angeles and they slayed it”.

Then went on to say how excited production is to be able to shoot in Los Angeles full-time.

“We’re incredibly excited to be back in L.A. And the LA tax break we are so grateful. That’s what made it possible.”

“Hopefully we’ll be able to shoot every corner of Los Angeles… It’s always been a character in the show but it’ll be a little bit more.”

Pregnant Lesley Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris and Kevin Alejandro subbed in for Tom Ellis and Lauren German on the panel.

Lucifer returns on Monday, May 1st, on FOX in the U.S. and CTV in Canada with five new episodes. Four additional filmed-in-Vancouver episodes — inlcuding the current one shooting near Burnaby Lake — will be broadcast next season after production has moved to L.A.
