Who killed Jason Blossom? That was the mystery at the heart of season one of the Archie Comics adaption Riverdale with K.J. Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Cole Sprouse as Jughead, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Madaleine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom and Ashleigh Murray as Josie of Josie and the Pussycats. Tonight we will learn new secrets on the season finale.
And then on June 22nd, a full season 2 (23 to 24 episodes?) is expected start filming in metro Vancouver and wrap in early April, per Production Weekly.
Much of what happens in Riverdale ties back to the parents: Luke Perry as Archie’s Dad Fred Andrews, Molly Ringwald guest starring as Archie’s Mom Mary Andrews, Madchen Amick as Betty’s Mom Alice Cooper, Lochlyn Munro as Betty’s Dad Hal Cooper (originally a Blossom), Marisol Nichols as Veronica’s Mom Hermione Lodge, Mark Conseulos to appear as Veronica’s Dad Hiram Lodge in season 2; Skeet Ulrich as Jughead’s Dad,FP Jones, and not-yet-cast Jughead’s Mom.
