Code 8 is set in a world where 4% of population has supernatural powers. These “specials” are ostracized and live in poverty.
One man (Robbie Amell) struggles to pay for his Mom’s medical treatment. A criminal (cousin Stephen Amell) recruits him to use his supernatural powers to pull off a series of crimes.
After a dispute over payment, he finds himself squaring off against a police officer (Sung Gang) and the robots backing him up.
Written by Chris Pare and directed by Jeff Chan, Code 8 is expected to film in Toronto from late May to mid-July per Production Weekly.
