10 more episodes. Fox announced a new Event series of The X-Files next season. Production is expected to get underway on August 8th and wrap December 21st in Vancouver with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Will we meet William, the son Scully gave up for adoption?
Where did we leave off?
The season 10 finale, My Struggle, Part 2, bookended the season opener, My Struggle, as people across America fell ill provoking widespread panic as Scully looked for a cure.
Her alien DNA protected her but Mulder fell ill in a car on Washington D.C.’s Interstate 695 — also known as the Southeast Freeway — played by Vancouver’s Georgia Viaduct.

The X-Files season 11 starts filming August 8th and wraps December 21st (dates subject to change) in metro Vancouver.

God I hope they don’t screw this up. I’m very loyal to this show bc it touched me so deeply as a child. That being said I’m not going to sit around and watch a bunch of crap. Fortunately the heart of the show, Anderson & Duchovny’s chemistry, is still present and just as strong as ever. Maybe even stronger. But there’s only so much their chemistry alone can carry.
I hope they don’t focus on the mythology too much. The more effort they put in attempting to make it make sense, the less sense it makes. I hope Chris Carter is getting in touch with the part of him that wrote Triangle & How the Ghosts Stole Xmas. I hope there will be scripts worthy of Gillian Anderson. Worthy of Anderson’s extraordinary depth of acting talent & range. This actor is breathtakingly talented. Whether it’s Blanche, or Media, etc etc, she has exemplified that she can literally do anything. So write her a script worthy of her. I hope they will let Duchovny write the love scene or kiss scene should there be one, or at least a romantic scene (bc he wrote the most romantic scene during the entire series -the baseball scene- which to this day still makes my ovaries hurt. He knows a thing or two about flirting. He would do it the best). I hope there is LOTS of witty banter bw the agents, bc as a young fan I remember Living for those moments. I hope Darin Morgan… well… I just hope Darin Morgan simply shows up. Bc every time he shows up magic happens.
I hope everyone puts their everything into this like it’s going to be their last go. Bc it may be.
I love The X-Files. I’m rooting for them.
Oh… I have one more thing I’m hoping for. I hope that, at the very end, we can all finally watch it rain sleeping bags.
Your post is spot on. This phile agrees and wishes for this and more. I would love Vince Gilligan to write an episode, because his episodes were some of my favourites. Even though I love this show, I want it to end on a high note and with a conclusion to the story and not a cliffhanger.
I’m sorry, when did any of you write an X-files episode? All you people do is complain. You aren’t real fans, but just sad little people who try and find shit to bitch about. SHUT THE FUCK UP and enjoy the series. No television series is going to be perfect, but you losers cry about everything. STFU!!!!
How IRONIC you mention their incredible chemistry, yet “genius” CC had M/S on screen in the final ep for SIX SECONDS! Think about that. He breaks them up, then doesn’t even have them on screen together in what could have been their final episode ever. One of the greatest chemistries in TV HISTORY, but he won’t capitalize on it. Amazing.
I just hope he doesn’t have anyone abducted. That would really annoy me. I also hope the last episode of this season really ends it since I have a feeling that both Anderson and Duchovny won’t do any more.

Well I for one love the mythology,BRING BACK KRYCEK love Gillian and David,BRING BACK KRYCEK love the x files mostly and am looking forward to it’s return!…BRING BACK KRYCEK…Not really interested in their relationship rekindling, hope William gets an appearance, BRING BACK KRYCEK!…erm yeah it would be nice to see Nicholas Lea!…in case you did not realise!…and TLG…no reason why they cannot be in it in my opinion…just saying!
