BIG BUDGET: Steve Carell Stars in Robert Zemeckis’s Next Big Movie Filming in Vancouver This August

Updated and Revised:

Steve Carell stars in Robert Zemeckis’s next big movie  as  a man who’s lost his memory after a severe beating and turns to his imagination to cope. Based on documentary Marwencol, it’s the true story of Mark Hogancamp who was beaten by a gang of teenagers and woke up with no memory of his life. To cope, he built a “one-sixth scale model of a World War II-era Belgian village” in his backyard with small dolls in the image of him and his friends.

Leslie Mann, Janelle Monae and  Eiza Gonzalez co-star.

Robert Zemeckis will direct based on a script co-written with Caroline Thompson.

The big-budget, special effects movie is filming in metro Vancouver from August 14th to September 28th (dates subject to change).

The Untitled Zemeckis project already has a theatrical release date —  November 21st next year.
