The Rock is on the run in downtown Vancouver as Hong Kong. On Wednesday night, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson ran down Expo Boulevard pushing and shoving extras as his Skyscraper character escaped police custody.

On Thursday and Friday nights, The Rock ran from an alley off Seymour Street and grabbed a police motorcycle.

And in between, Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson came to set to honour Johnson with the city’s The Rock Day.

What is Skyscraper? A kind-of Die Hard in Hong Kong.

The Rock stars as Will Ford, a former veteran and FBI hostage rescue team leader, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. When the world’s tallest, safest tower goes up in flames in Hong Kong while he’s on assignment, Johnson finds himself framed for the arson. How will he clear his name and rescue his family trapped in the tower above the fire line?

Neve Campbell, Chin Han, Bryon Mann and Hannah Quinlivan co-star.

Tonight is the third overnight at the Seymour set [but it will be the stunt double running. The Rock is in Atlanta].

Skyscraper started filming in metro Vancouvere in mid-August and is expected to wrap mid-November.

Skyscraper will be in theatres next summer on July 13th, 2018.
