The Predator is returning to metro Vancouver in March for reshoots.
Shane Black (Iron Man 3) co-wrote and directed the new Predator installment that gets back to the roots of the franchise. He should know how it all began. He had a role in the first one with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The new Predator moves from the South American jungle to rural America — Macon-Bibb county, Georgia.
Boyd Holbrook (Logan villain) is the new Schwarzenegger as an ex-marine. Local sensation Jacob Tremblay (Wonder) plays Holbrook’s autistic son, who’s a savant with languages.
The Predator poster is in the shape of you-know-who.
Other cast: Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck) as Holbrook’s ex-wife and mother of his son; Olivia Munn (X-Men/Ocean’s Eight) as a scientist, Sterling K. Brown (This is Us) as a government agent; Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight) as an ex-marine; Keegan-Michael Key; Thomas Jane (The Expanse); Augusto Aguilera (Chasing Life); Jake Busey; and Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica).
Jake Busey, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes.
The Predator filmed all over metro Vancouver, including Templeton School in east Vancouver and the New Westminster waterfront.
As well as Smallville’s Kent Farm in Langley.
Reshoots are scheduled from March 12th to 29th.
The Predator is expected in theatres on August 3rd this year.
