Once Upon a Time will come to an end with season 7.
From showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis.
In many ways Once Upon a Time got its series finale in season 6 with Emma Swan’s wedding to Killian “Hook” Jones. Season 7 is an extra, with some familiar characters in some unfamiliar roles.
Adult Henry (Andrew J. West)’s adventures in a new Fairy Tale Land result in a new curse for him and his family as well as his adoptive Mom Regina (Lana Parrilla), his grandfather Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and his stepfather’s doppelganger Wish Realm Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) — Regina is Seattle bar owner Roni, Rumple is Seattle detective Weaver and Wish Hook is his detective partner Rogers in the fictitious neighbourhood of Hyperion Heights.
The next twelve episodes will wrap up their stories in Hyperion Heights and the new Fairy Tale Land and give almost everyone their happy endings. Hopefully in Storybrooke.

While the showrunners stopped short of promising a return of all the original cast, the series finale will feature “some familiar faces from the first six years”.
Filming of season 7 is expected to wrap April 2nd in metro Vancouver.
Note: I’ve covered Once Upon a Time since they filmed the pilot with Emma Swan and her yellow VW Bug in 2011.
New episodes of Once Upon a Time return Friday, March 2nd.
