LOCATION: Disney’s DESCENDANTS 3 Villain Kids on Vancouver Island’s Woodwinds Estate

Disney musical Descendants 3 filmed at the private Woodwinds Estate in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island this week.

The house already looks like it’s part of a fairy tale.

What’s Descendants about?

Teenage children of classic Disney villains who grew up on the Isle of the Lost are invited to go to school with the children of Disney heroes in the Kingdom of Auradon, to see if they can be good when separated from their evil parents

The Villain Kids aka VKS were in Qualicum Beach/Parksville.

I confirmed Descendants 3 at the private Woodwinds estate from outside the hedges.

BC MLA Michelle Stiwell got a tour inside the Woodwinds set. “It is absolutely amazing how many people it takes to make the magic happen. There were 180 people on set and that didn’t include the construction teams,” she posted.

Descendants 3 has filmed at a house in the woods set in North Vancouver’s Lynn Canyon and is expected to return there.

And at the Britannia Mine Museum south of Squamish where a school field trip got an unexpected look at sets.

Directed by Kenny Ortega.

Descendants 3 started filming May 22nd in British Columbia and is expected to wrap July 7th.
